Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - The Village on Morehead is seeking a dining room associate to warmly greet residents and guests, take food orders, and ensure meals are delivered promptly and accurately.

You will maintain a spotless dining room, follow safety and sanitation standards, assist with setting tables and clearing dishes, and support the kitchen staff during peak times. Must obtain a certified food handler within 60 days; weekend and holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• Must obtain accredited food handler certification within 60 days.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact with staff, residents, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Keep dining room spotless and well set for meals and events.
• Greet residents and guests and seat them comfortably.
• Take food orders, present to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly.
• Ensure order accuracy, quality, and presentation.
• Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring a top-notch dining experience.
• Assist with setting tables, clearing dishes, restocking inventory.
• Follow all safety, sanitation standards meticulously.
• Explain menu items to residents and guests.
• Attend required in-service training sessions and participate in emergency response.

Pay Rate

$17.00/hr. - $18.00/hr.

Full Time Schedule

Monday - Friday

Shift: 6:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. | 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. | 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
• Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
• Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
• Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
• Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
• Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
• Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
• Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
