Job summary

Havasu Landing Casino & Hotel in Lake Havasu City, CA, is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server for a part-time role in the restaurant team. You will greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, product knowledge and the ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test and qualify for a gaming license.
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours.
• Must have prior experience as a Food Server/Waiter/Waitress.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and serving customers in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
• Inform customers of specials and answer questions regarding food, beverages and service.
• Solicit food and beverage orders and relay to culinary and beverage staff.
• Coordinate with culinary and beverage staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Serve courses promptly with proper presentation.
• Monitor diners and accommodate additional requests.
• Total guest check and process payment when needed.
• Assist with stocking workstation and resetting tables.

Restaurant Server (Havasu Lake, CA; Lake Havasu)

INDIAN PREFERENCE POLICY: Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (Title 25, USC. Section 472).

POSITION: SERVER DEPARTMENT: RESTAURANT REPORTS TO: FOOD & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR PAY RATE: $15.00/HOUR

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass pre-employment drug test and qualify for a gaming license
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours
• Good coordination; be able to bend, kneel and have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must have prior experience as a Food Server/Waiter/Waitress
• Good people skills, customer driven, sense customer needs, promote positive dining experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for greeting and serving customers in a timely, courteous and professional manner
• Inform customers of specials, making suggestions and answering questions regarding food, beverages and service
• Solicit food and beverage orders from customers and relay orders to culinary and beverage staff
• Communicate with culinary and beverage staff and coordinate the entire station to ensure customer satisfaction
• Serve courses promptly while ensuring the proper presentation
• Monitor diners to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded and accommodate any additional requests
• Total guest check, refer customers to the cashier, or process payment for the customer
• Assist with stocking workstation, removing soiled dishes and resetting tables
• All duties as assigned
