Rate of Pay: $12.00/hour

Overview

The Restaurant Server will take food and beverage orders, serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to guests according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Responsibilities include collecting payments and maintaining the restaurant area and equipment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on meals and resolving issues.
• Collect payments from customers.
• Take and transmit food and beverage orders to the kitchen.
• Prepare checks and handle sales transactions.
• Serve food and beverages, including specialty dishes and drinks.
• Check IDs for alcohol service.
• Present menus, answer questions, and recommend items.
• Clean and reset tables after dining.
• Stock service areas with supplies.
• Assist with food preparation and garnishing.
• Greet and seat guests, and assist with reservations and to-go orders.
• Perform cleaning duties as needed.
• Describe and recommend wines.
• Provide local area information and directions.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good English language skills and guest relations experience.
• Certification in liquor, wine, and food service preferred.
• Must be TIPS, CARE, or equivalent certified by first day.
• Ability to use POS and property management systems.
