Job Description

• Porters perform various tasks to ensure the cleanliness and smooth operation of the business. Similar to custodians and janitors, they keep buildings neat, clean, free from clutter, and safe.
• Responsibilities include picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors, as well as cleaning and stocking bathrooms.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• 0-6 months’ experience in general industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with management and co-workers.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of the organization and its functions.
• Understanding of working practices, procedures, and techniques.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED, equivalent work experience, or currently attending high school or educational equivalent (e.g., home school or vocational programs).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to manually lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push frequently.
• Ability to read orders on tickets, menu boards, receipts, etc.
• Frequent contact with water, cleaning solutions, and food products, requiring proper sanitation.
• Frequent hand washing.

Other Requirements:
