POSITION SUMMARY:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for creating an unforgettable dining experience for every guest visiting our restaurant. This position leads the front-of-house staff and oversees all service aspects of the restaurant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide world-class service to guests (internal and external) at all times.
- Maintain close contact with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
- Plan, schedule, supervise, and coordinate daily restaurant operations.
- Oversee employee training.
- Conduct staff meetings, including daily huddles.
- Supervise all operations, including guest service, reservations, cleaning, organizing, service, dining area attention, bussing, resetting tables, bartending, menu development, large party reservations, line setup, restocking, cooking, expediting, dishwashing, etc.
- Ensure alcohol service complies with Missouri Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Tobacco Control regulations.
- Control labor costs while maintaining high guest experience standards.
- Manage inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, including transportation coordination.
- Follow health and safety regulations.
- Prepare administrative reports, timesheets, staffing reports, inventories, cash reports, etc.
- Oversee opening and closing duties of dining outlets and bars.
- Address daily operational issues related to inventory, purchasing, personnel, and equipment.
- Process daily receipts and transactions.
- Monitor food and service quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Restaurant General Manager and other staff.
- Attend staff meetings and stay updated on industry developments.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
- Manager food handler and beverage service certifications required.
- 2-3 years leadership experience, preferably in food and beverage or resort management.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, inventory control, staff scheduling, and administrative functions.
- Strong supervisory, budgeting, and customer service skills.
- Experience with food service equipment and safety regulations.
- Permits for managing food and beverage services.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular: Computer work, walking, standing.
- Occasional: Sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Develops objectives and policies within established goals. Works independently on daily tasks; review by supervisor for results.
