Kung Fu Chicken FIU is seeking a Restaurant Manager Trainee to become an integral part of our team! Job Summary

The Restaurant Manager Trainee Program is a dynamic 6-month training experience designed to cultivate the next generation of restaurant leaders. This position will gain on-the-job training across all key aspects of restaurant operations, from food preparation and guest service to team management and financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate through various stations (expeditor, food prep, cashier, drink maker) to learn day-to-day operations.

  • Learn how to manage shifts, motivate team members, and deliver exceptional guest service.

  • Maintain high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and product quality.

  • Track inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock efficiently to minimize waste.

  • Work with the team to achieve daily sales targets and promote upselling techniques.

  • Learn the fundamentals of profit and loss, budgeting, and cost control.

*Resolve guest complaints and ensure an exceptional dining experience.

  • Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards

  • Including Cook & Cashier responsibility

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a fast-food or restaurant environment (or a strong desire to learn).

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering excellent guest service.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
