Job summary

Denny's Restaurant in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Restaurant Manager to supervise 15–20 crew, ensure smooth operations on the assigned shift, and deliver a great dining experience while upholding brand standards.

You’ll work with other Managers and Supervisors, rotate day and night shifts, hire and train staff, interpret financial reports, control costs, and maintain a safe, clean, guest-focused environment. Must meet Food Safety requirements and lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in restaurant, hospitality or retail management.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Food Safety Manager certification is required.
• Ability to work 45-55 hours per week.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Promotes Company Mission, Vision and Core Values.
• Oversees shifts and directs hourly staff to achieve guest service standards.
• Interprets financial and operational reports and schedules to meet goals.
• Assists the GM by maintaining brand standards and guest service in a clean environment.
• Help achieve profit goals by monitoring controls and taking corrective action.
• Develops hourly employees through training and development programs.
• Attracts, hires, onboard and retains hourly talent.
• Develops community relations to increase guest counts.
• Enforces sanitary practices for food handling and cleanliness.
• Follows policies and brand standards; comply with regulations.
