Our Denny's restaurant is seeking a Restaurant Manager for our Gardena, CA location. This position reports to the General Manager and supervises approximately 15-20 crew members. The manager is responsible for executing restaurant operations during their shift, providing excellent guest experiences, and maintaining service and quality standards.

Along with 1-2 peer Restaurant Managers and/or Supervisors, the Restaurant Manager supports the General Manager, who holds overall accountability for the restaurant's success. The role requires working day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays with rotating schedules.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Assist others proactively without being asked.
  2. Prepare, interpret, and analyze financial and operational reports to meet business goals.
  3. Oversee shifts, ensure brand standards are followed, and direct staff to deliver guest service in a clean, welcoming environment.
  4. Help achieve profit goals by monitoring controls and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Develop and coach staff on standards, policies, and guest service programs.
  6. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and retaining staff.
  7. Address employee relations, brand standards deviations, and guest issues with the General Manager and assist in corrective actions.
  8. Support employee development through training and individual plans.
  9. Build community relations to increase guest visits.
  10. Ensure security procedures are followed to protect staff, guests, and assets.
  11. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  12. Create a respectful, enjoyable environment for staff and guests.
  13. Comply with employment policies and legal regulations.
  14. Follow cash handling, inventory, and operational procedures.
  15. Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years management experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail; additional leadership experience preferred.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Ability to work at least 50 hours weekly.
  • Food Safety Manager certification required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Respect for diversity.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and handle high-stress situations.
  • Capability to perform all job duties, including multitasking, physical tasks, and working in various environments.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to lift weights up to 60 lbs.
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations.
