Purpose
The Restaurant Manager oversees and directs the seamless running of the restaurant, supervising all team members. They take the lead when the General Manager is off duty, ensuring efficient service, meeting financial and statutory requirements, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach, develop, and lead by example.
- Ensure staff is properly equipped with tools.
- Touch tables to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business.
- Create an environment of trust and mutual respect.
- Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, guest service, cost control, and consistency.
- Manage staffing levels and controllable costs in line with budget.
- Ensure successful execution of private events, catering, and banquets.
- Adhere to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain equipment in excellent condition.
- Complete nightly logs and manager reports.
- Handle full lifecycle of team members: hiring, training, coaching, skill development, and termination.
- Provide guests with accurate menu, pricing, and allergen information.
- Respond to guest concerns/complaints positively.
- Understand and adhere to employee handbook and safety regulations.
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Ensure proper check-out procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- 21+ years old.
- State-required work cards.
- Minimum 2 years related experience.
- Proficient in Windows MS Office, Open Table, Outlook.
- Knowledge of profitability analysis, budgeting, cost controls.
- Familiar with liquor, labor, health laws.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Knowledge of beer and spirits.
- Effective communication skills in English.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Work indoors/outdoors, in a fast-paced environment, with varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform related tasks.
