Role Description

As Restaurant Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a high-volume, full-service restaurant. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing and developing team members, and ensuring operational and financial targets are met. This role demands hands-on leadership, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and inspire front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver outstanding service.
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and safety (including compliance with health department regulations).
  • Ensure a smooth, profitable operation through effective scheduling, inventory, and labor management.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new staff to meet service and brand standards.
  • Handle guest issues with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-first mindset.
  • Drive sales through service excellence, upselling, local marketing, and community engagement.
  • Monitor and manage cost of goods sold (COGS), labor, and operating expenses to achieve financial goals.
  • Partner with ownership and/or corporate team on marketing initiatives, brand rollouts, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Use technology platforms (e.g., Toast, 7Shifts, OpenTable, etc.) to streamline operations and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant Manager in a full-service restaurant.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to develop strong, motivated teams.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant financials including P&L management, labor cost, and inventory.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving and operations.
  • Commitment to hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Tech-savvy: comfortable using restaurant POS, scheduling, and management software.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required.
