Job Description
A Host is the first and last point of contact with guests at a restaurant. Responsibilities include greeting, seating, and saying goodbye to guests, as well as maintaining the flow of the restaurant during service. The Host manages seating efficiently and reports to the Restaurant Manager.

• Oversee the general functioning of the dining room during meal service, relaying information to managers and staff
• Maintain an accurate, fair, and up-to-date waitlist and seating chart using a computerized system
• Handle reservations where applicable
• Balance guest flow among service stations, accommodating requests for specific tables or servers when possible
• Inform guests when tables are ready, escort them to their seats, provide menus, and introduce servers
• Assist servers and bus persons as needed to ensure smooth service
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for up to 8 hours

Pay rate is $17.28 plus tips, with a tip pool system in place.
