Job summary

The Source Hotel in Denver's RiNo Art District is seeking a part-time Host/Hostess to greet guests, manage reservations, and uphold Crescent's service standards. Join a dynamic team in a modern setting within a vibrant marketplace of dining and retail.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of relevant experience, can handle high-volume phone inquiries, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Competitive wages and a strong benefits package await.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience answering high-volume phone lines professionally.
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Detail oriented, articulate and able to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Host/Hostess role in daily operations.
• Train, mentor, and influence service standards.
• Greet members and guests by name when applicable.
• Answer high-volume calls and advise on menus, hours, and reservations.
• Create reservations for clubs/restaurants and assist managers.
• Maintain friendliness, accuracy, and discretion.
• Collaborate with reception to ensure excellent member service.
• Build relationships with members and relay feedback to management.

Essential Functions

Host/Hostess

Assist leadership by training, mentoring and influencing The Source Service Standards and steps of service required daily

Ensure every member and guest is welcomed by name (if local/applicable) and new guests are welcomed with open arms and in a hospitable manner

Answer high-volume phone lines and confidently answer standard Q&A regarding menus, hours of operation and amenity availability/pricing and calls for restaurant, roof and cinema reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries, messages for members and from employees; among other inquiries in full and with complete detail

Create reservations for club/restaurants and assist F&B Managers on the floor with service standards and service execution

Punctuating all calls and interactions with friendliness, accuracy, and discretion

Work with the reception team to ensure excellent service for members and open dialogue is had to manage expectations properly

Build relationships with members and guests and communicate and red flags and positive feedback to management to assess

Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional

Required Skills/Qualifications

Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Must have experience answering high-volume phone lines and answering inquiries professionally, timely and to the best of your abilities.

Problem solving skills and bring conflict resolution to any anticipated or current matter

Detail oriented, articulate and ability to multi-task in a high-volume and demanding work environment

Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holiday’s (as needed)

Physical Requirements

Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.

Long periods of sitting or standing.

Fast paced movements occasionally required to go from one part of the club to others.

Must be able to understand and communicate clearly with guests, members, and coworkers.

Must be able to reach and handle the computer, keyboard, and desktop items.

Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.

Licenses or Certificates

None.

Grooming

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Crescent Hotel standards.
