An outpost of Chef Justin Cucci’s popular Denver eatery,Root Down DIAconsistently and passionately serves every guest organic, farm-to-table and globally inspired cuisine. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner entrée items, including select raw foods, sandwiches, appetizers, soups, salads, and desserts, as well as a wide selection of cocktails, wine, beer, sake, and spirits.Root Downoffers quality, freshness, and flavor, artistically presented.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the hiring, onboarding, training, communicating job expectations, and retention of team members through coaching, motivation, recognition and development as well as monitoring and disciplining when necessary.
  • Maintain operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures, implementing production, productivity, quality and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.
  • Responsible for delegating and following up on tasks while remaining accountable for the overall function of the restaurant.
  • Exercise good judgment and decision making in escalating concerns aggressively resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to company cash handling and payment processing procedures.
  • Control of profit and loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports and taking appropriate actions.
  • All duties assigned by Operations Manager and Executive Management, including maintenance on all equipment.
  • Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations, and maintaining security systems

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, flexible schedules, and holidays
  • Highly energetic, positive, self-motivated, goal-oriented, engaging, dependable, and maintains a professional appearance.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, written, and oral communication as well as conflict resolution skills
  • Strong task and time management abilities
  • Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Basic computer literacy, basic math skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • 2 years of experience as a full-service restaurant General Manager or 4 years as a full-service Assistant General Manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
