Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete all training requirements including the Zaxbys General Manager Development Plan and Operations Excellence Capstone Class, Food Safety Certification, and Manager Certification, along with any additional training required by Zax LLC.
• Ensure the restaurant delivers great experiences to guests.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, retaining, and recognizing top performers.
• Ensure team members receive proper training, including ongoing mentoring, coaching, and development, while holding team members accountable for their performance.
• Create and manage work schedules that drive sales and control labor costs.
• Plan and delegate shift assignments, communicate expectations, and adjust as needed.
• Uphold service, product quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Foster a positive culture and healthy team morale through guidance and leadership, serving as a role model.
• Manage profitability by driving sales, controlling costs, developing team members, and maintaining operational standards.
• Build community relationships and provide outstanding products and service to increase sales.
• Control costs and losses, and improve operational efficiency.
• Conduct performance reviews for crew and assist with reviews for managers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize management tools and maintain accurate, current records.
• Review performance metrics daily and develop action plans to enhance profitability, sales, and guest experience.
• Handle and report guest and team member complaints, concerns, or injuries promptly and respectfully.
• Maintain flexibility to exceed standard performance parameters.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Perform other duties necessary for smooth restaurant operations.

Job Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Be available to work at least 5 days and 48 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Successfully pass a background check and motor vehicle report.
• Possess leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to work cooperatively.
• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 3-5 years of management experience required.
• Restaurant management experience preferred.
