Restaurant General Manager - Hawthorn Grill - Fine Dining

Role: The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the resort food and beverage outlets as assigned. Ensure excellent customer service, maximize revenue and profits, develop and implement cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures, and adhere to all company, safety, and departmental policies and procedures. Foster teamwork and ensure the team provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs, and strives to exceed expectations. Build brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of full-service, upscale resort, or hotel leadership experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations

Required Certificates/Licenses:

  • Valid Clark County Health Card
  • Valid Las Vegas Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Valid Non-Gaming Card
  • Valid ServSafe Manager Certification

Major Job Duties:

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees
  • Manage front and back of house food and beverage operations
  • Manage staff schedules during peak periods
  • Train and mentor supervisory and management staff on guest service standards
  • Oversee staffing and payroll for food and beverage outlets
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation standards
  • Assist in developing budgets and menu planning
  • Maintain point of sale system integrity
  • Partner with the Room Chef to ensure food quality standards

Physical and Environmental Requirements: Work is performed in a hotel casino environment with varying noise levels and conditions. Must be able to stand, lift, and maneuver items as specified, and communicate effectively.
