Job summary

Shake Shack in Alabama seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations and deliver outstanding hospitality. You will coach teams, manage inventory, uphold safety standards, and drive profitability while maintaining the brand’s guest experience across local events and initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting acumen, and a commitment to operational excellence within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of General Management in high-volume, fast-paced restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, budgeting and safety codes.
• Proven ability to train, coach and motivate teams toward excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop team members to deliver hospitality excellence.
• Oversee inventory, quality, and safety protocols to standards.
• Meet and exceed financial goals by managing the budget and P&L.
• Maintain top-notch standards of hospitality and service.
• Drive sales and profits while developing staff and processes.
• Implement company policies and health & safety compliance locally.
• Manage payroll and scheduling to optimize labor costs.
• Promote Shake Shack in the local community through events.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop team members
• Manage inventory, quality, and safety protocols
• Meet and exceed financial and profitability goals by managing budget
• Maintain top-notch standards of excellence and hospitality
• Drive sales and profits while developing people
• Implement company policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local and state health and safety code compliance.
• Manage payroll and scheduling
• Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Restaurant General Management experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security
• Ability to learn and train others on all aspects of the Shack operations
• Demonstrated ability to champion hospitality and motivate team members
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and achieving excellence
• Knowledgeable in all financial aspects of business operations
• Minimum 3 years of P&L responsibilities
• Food handler certification, preferred
• Willingness to work flexible hours
