Job summary

Palm House in Palm Beach, Florida, seeks a polished Seasonal Restaurant Floor Manager to lead our luxury dining team during the November–April season. You will oversee daily floor operations, guide service, and collaborate with F&B leadership and culinary to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage high-season demands while maintaining Palm House standards of hospitality and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of restaurant supervisory or management experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or fine dining setting.
• Strong knowledge of dining room operations, luxury service standards, and guest relations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A calm, professional approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails, with ability to guide on allergens and dietary requests.
• Experience with restaurant POS and reservation systems.
• Professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season November–April.

Responsibilities

• Support opening/closing procedures, side work, dining room readiness, and cleanliness.
• Assist with scheduling to maintain coverage during service.
• Monitor guest feedback and communicate improvement opportunities to leadership.

Your Role

As Restaurant Floor Manager, you will oversee daily restaurant floor operations, guide service delivery, and support a seamless dining experience. Working closely with Food & Beverage leadership and the culinary team, you will balance attentive guest care with effective team coordination and operational discipline.

• Lead restaurant service with a visible, approachable presence on the floor.

• Coordinate seating, table assignments, and service flow with hosts, servers, bartenders, and the culinary team.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns promptly, professionally, and with thoughtful follow‑through.
• Coach team members in service etiquette, menu knowledge, responsible beverage service, and effective communication.
• Support opening and closing procedures, side work, dining room readiness, and cleanliness.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing adjustments to maintain appropriate coverage throughout service.
• Monitor guest feedback and communicate opportunities for improvement to Food & Beverage leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or fine dining environment.

• Strong food and beverage knowledge, including familiarity with wine, cocktails, and dietary considerations.
• Experience with restaurant point‑of‑sale and reservation systems.

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, throughout the seasonal assignment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the essential duties of an active restaurant floor role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
