Landmark Americana is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Restaurant Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of various events.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional guest service skills and a strong background in event planning, ensuring that every event runs smoothly and meets the expectations of our clients. In this role, communication with the Director of Events, other management staff and Head Chef to ensure all customer needs are met is vital.

Duties include: working directly with customers in event sales and planning, preparing the venue for each event, coordinating event details to ensure that guests have the best experience possible.

The ideal candidate will also assist in the FOH management of the restaurant working with three full-time FOH restaurant managers.

To be successful as a Restaurant Event Manager, the ideal candidate must have experience in sales, booking and managing events, delivering services that meet a customer’s budget and needs, providing excellent customer service that exceeds expectations and managing employees to provide high quality experiences for their guests. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be well-rounded in events, sales and management and open to a position where flexibility is key.

  • Marketing off-site activities including sales inquiries, sales meetings and public relations activities to generate increased event business.
  • Consistently working to build the event business within the community; coordinate and draft contract details with event host, the Director of Events, Head Chef and on-site management team.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
  • Answer the event host’s questions, prepare all respective documents with timely and thorough follow-up and accommodate special requests when possible.
  • Manage all event details including communicating to event staff, coordinating food/liquor needs, ensuring that all equipment and materials are provided, ensuring that guest timelines are met, ensuring billing accuracy and financial transactions are in order.
  • Ensure that all banquet equipment is in proper operating condition and is cleaned on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that all banquet facilities are cleaned and properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes.
  • Managing storage of all event products to minimize misuse and breakage and to ensure that no re-usable goods are wasted. Establish par levels for supplies and equipment.
  • Serve as a FOH Restaurant Manager to contribute to the overall success of the restaurant, including supervising staff to ensure workflow efficiency is strong, ensuring inventory control, maintaining revenue, profitability/quality goals, providing excellent guest service, and complying with all food and beverage regulations.

Restaurant Event Manager Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in event management.
  • 2+ years Restaurant Management with bar/liquor experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of front house operations and procedures with emphasis on profitability, costs, and overall dining experience.
  • Ability to plan events, manage budgets and meet deadlines.
  • Collaboration with the Director of Events, Head Chef and management team.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team and communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing
  • Familiarity with catering services and logistics is a plus.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to work with and motivate staff and fully understand client needs.
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills with timely follow-up.
  • Ability to multi-task and show attention to detail with a focus on providing high quality deliverables
  • Negotiating, creativity and leadership skills should be evident.
