Job summary

Neiman Marcus is seeking a Restaurant Dishwasher to uphold exceptional cleanliness and sanitation standards across the kitchen and dining areas. The role focuses on dish, trash, and floor maintenance while supporting health and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities include operating the dish station, reporting equipment issues, and assisting with additional cleaning as needed. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall restaurant cleanliness including dishes, trash, and floors to high Health and Kitchen standards.
• Operate the dish machine correctly and report malfunctions to the manager or chef.
• Assist with set up and cleaning throughout the kitchen as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with line cooks and front-of-house staff.
• Uphold health and sanitation standards per Neiman Marcus and local authorities.
• Support a safe and efficient work environment through teamwork and reliability.

YOU WILL BE:

The Restaurant Dishwasher focuses on keeping up overall restaurant cleanliness to see to it that guests have the level of food and beverage service to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Primarily focuses on keeping the dish, trash, and floors areas clean and organized to the highest level of Health and Kitchen standard.
• Maintains dish machine by:
  • Checking for chemicals in dish machine to see they are filled and ready
  • Understanding how to use dish machine
  • Reporting any malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef
  • Keeping chemical testers on hand
• Knows how to use all sanitizing materials used for cleaning.
• Checks trash periodically and removes if full.
• Organizes dish area with all solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silver.
• Maintains a pace for washing all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware.
• Exercises caution when working with breakables (e.g., dishes and glassware).
• Keeps floors clean from spills, grease, and general trash.
• Assists with preparation and additional cleaning throughout kitchen as needed.
• Maintains a professional relationship with all line cooks, coworkers, chef, and front-of-the-house staff.
• Upholds all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and 3rd party Sanitation auditors.

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS:

Salary Range $19.61 - $24.51* Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
