Job Summary

The Restaurant Cook oversees the day-to-day operation of the grill and food prep in the restaurant. Responsibilities include proper food preparation, handling, and storage. The role requires providing excellent customer service and being a strong team player for our franchise partner.

Responsibilities

1. Report to work on time, in a clean and complete proper uniform.
2. Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting: “Good Morning” or “Welcome to Huddle House.”
3. Prepare food in a timely manner once the order is placed.
4. Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
5. Immediately bring all concerns, especially safety issues and customer service complaints, to the manager’s attention.
6. Know the menu and daily features (if applicable), ensuring they are cooked and presented correctly.
7. Follow the Huddle House steps of service to maximize shift sales with each guest.
8. Adhere to safety, food handling, cash security, and all other restaurant policies.
9. Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor.
10. Control food costs by managing waste and portion control.

Qualifications
