Job summary

El Super is recruiting a Restaurant Clerk for the San Bernardino location to support the service experience by helping with grilled and hot food item preparation and maintaining a clean, inviting restaurant environment. The role requires ability to work nights and weekends, a Food Handler Card or equivalent certification, and willingness to lift/move items as needed.

Basic PC/Outlook skills and a Retail Management Certificate are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of grilled and hot food items, following precise company standards for preparation and presentation and maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant.
• Maintain a clean and inviting restaurant and assist customers as a key contact point for service experience.
• Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.
