Job summary

The Cliffs Hotel & Spa in Pismo Beach is seeking a gracious, efficient Server Assistant/Busser for a part-time role. You will help keep the restaurant pristine, reset tables for smooth service, and assist servers and hosts to maintain luxury guest experiences.

Requirements include a high school diploma, excellent English, and prior restaurant or hotel guest services experience. RBS certification is valued. Candidates must be able to multitask and work quickly with attention to detail.

Position Summary:

The Server Assistant/Busser primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant, to reset tables to ensure efficient flow of service, and support the servers and hosts as needed; while also maintaining elevated levels of guest service standards.

Education, Experience, Skills:

• High school diploma
• Working knowledge of guest services in a luxury hotel setting.
• Excellent command of English language.
• Ability to work with people effectively.
• Ability to multitask and work in mentally demanding situations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand continuously for the duration of the shift (eight hours).

• Ability to lift large dish bins and other items (up to 80 pounds) for the entirety of their shift (eight hours)
• Ability to work in stressful situations.
• Ability to move furniture and umbrella stands continuously throughout their shift (eight hours)
