Summary of Position

Provides friendly and efficient service to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. Performs duties to maximize guest satisfaction and maintain a positive work environment as directed by the Manager on Duty. Controls the flow of business in the dining room to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Checks out guests at the register and provides genuine hospitality to ensure a highly satisfactory dining experience.

Assist Crew Members

• Processes To-Go orders
• Assists servers with pre-bussing and maintains guests’ needs throughout their dining experience
• Sweeps floors around tables as needed
• Performs side work during shift downtime, such as rolling silverware, restocking stations, and bussing tables
• Supports all servers and bus persons to meet service standards
• Ensures 100% guest satisfaction on every visit
• Communicates with Manager on Duty and coworkers about product/service issues, safety, and equipment concerns
• Informs General Manager and Manager on Duty of problems and suggests solutions

Physical Requirements, Environment, and Working Conditions

• Extensive standing and walking for up to 8 hours
• Ability to see at various distances and distinguish shapes; peripheral vision for safety
• Clear communication skills
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold
• Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet
• High mobility and flexibility
• Good time management skills
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
• Manual dexterity for writing, slicing, chopping, and operating equipment
• Ability to fit through openings 30 inches wide
• Willingness to work irregular hours during busy times
• Bending, reaching, walking
• Carrying trays weighing about 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Exposure to dishwashing and cleaning chemicals

Supervision and Skills

Receives guidance and training from the Manager on Duty. Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service are taught through in-house training. No prior experience is required.
