Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will oversee restaurant staff performance, ensure customer satisfaction, and model exceptional guest service. They will identify business improvement opportunities and communicate effectively with the management team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure customer satisfaction during their visit
  • Handle guest complaints with concern and empathy
  • Manage HR functions including employee relations, hiring, termination, and training
  • Complete daily paperwork such as sales reports, inventories, and other documents to ensure profitability
  • Meet or exceed budgets, focusing on cost control and EBITDA
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Create staffing schedules with the General Manager
  • Hold monthly meetings with staff to discuss operational updates
  • Engage with the community to promote the business
  • Enforce brand standards, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with hiring paperwork, payroll, disciplinary actions, and staff data management
  • Train staff on POS systems and restaurant operations
  • Report any operational hurdles to the General or District Manager
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of restaurant operations experience
  • Effective communication skills with staff
  • Availability to cover all shifts during operation hours
  • Previous restaurant experience required
  • Current ServSafe Certification
