Restaurant Assistant Manager

Niagara Clifton Group is currently hiring an Assistant Manager to join our Ruby Tuesday Restaurant team. Ruby Tuesday is a fast-paced, high-volume full-service restaurant offering a wide range of signature lunch and dinner options, including salads, appetizers, burgers, steaks, seafood, and more. Guests can enjoy their meals indoors with views of the Falls and Clifton Hill or on our rooftop patio.

Job Summary

Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Manager assists with daily operations, trains, develops, counsels, and leads a diverse team to maximize sales and profitability, control labor costs, address guest complaints proactively, and ensure safety, sanitation, and food and beverage standards are maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example with professionalism and positivity, providing exceptional hospitality
  • Create a fun and safe environment for staff and guests
  • Adhere to all policies, food safety, sanitation, and safety guidelines
  • Provide excellent guest service, including greeting, answering questions, and accommodating requests
  • Manage supply deliveries and product rotation
  • Support various roles including bartending and serving as needed
  • Maintain cash and POS controls and adhere to cash management procedures
  • Ensure restaurant appearance standards are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of serving experience
  • Hospitality management education is an asset
  • Smart Serve certification required
  • Food handling and First Aid certifications are assets
