The Restaurant Assistant General Manager is responsible for the daily oversight of food & beverage operations and staff. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Ensures guest service standards are adhered to by staff. Reports directly to the restaurant General Manager.

Where You'll Make an Impact

• Implement and follow all policies of the department and company.
• Supervise and assist in daily training of managers and hourly employees; maintain open communication.
• Maintain appropriate beverage/food inventories and quality control, including alcohol service.
• Ensure quality control and timeliness of food/beverage service.
• Assist in controlling labor, beverage, and food costs.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure employee and guest safety.
• Ensure compliance with LLCB regulations and all applicable liquor laws.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state gaming regulations.
• Achieve budgeted revenues, control expenses and labor costs, and maximize profitability.
• Demonstrate professionalism reflecting company values.
• Respond to guest needs, comments, and issues to enhance experience and sales.
• Extend compliments in accordance with the property’s comp matrix.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed

• Mathematical skills, including budgeting, profit/loss, percentages, and variances.
• Thorough knowledge of restaurant and bar practices and procedures.

Must-Haves

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent with coursework in restaurant management preferred.
• At least 3 years of prior experience in restaurant/nightclub management; multi-unit management is a plus.
• Fluent English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
• Ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or other regulatory entities.

Physical Requirements

• Work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Handle, carry, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
