Job Description

Each Eataly location features multiple full-service, sit-down restaurants serving authentic Italian dishes made with high-quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menu includes meat dishes, seafood, pasta, pizza, and street food.

The Restaurant Assistant General Manager oversees the daily operations of a single or group of restaurants at an Eataly location. This role reports to the General Manager of Restaurants.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee restaurant operations to maximize profitability while maintaining the company's mission, values, policies, quality, and guest experience standards.
  2. Work actively on the floor, applying a hands-on approach.
  3. Hire, assign, train, motivate, evaluate, and terminate team members as needed.
  4. Provide coaching and feedback to team members to facilitate their growth.
  5. Manage inventory levels and replenish goods and operating materials.
  6. Collaborate with interdepartmental and corporate teams for planning, events, and information sharing.
  7. Document, investigate, and resolve employee and guest incidents.
  8. Maintain high levels of hospitality towards guests and within the team.
  9. Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a large restaurant staff, achieving sales and guest service goals.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business management skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Italian cuisine and wine is highly preferred.
Compensation

The salary range for this role is $75,000–$85,000 annually, plus merit increases and bonuses in 2026, based on experience.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for up to 8 hours.
