Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior AI governance leader to guide enterprise-wide governance of AI and Generative AI use cases in the United States. You will oversee risk assessments, monitoring results, and control evidence, then communicate residual risks to business, risk, and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in quantitative science, statistics, data science, AI/ML development, actuarial science, or related discipline
• 2+ years governing Generative AI solutions or similar
• 1+ years advisory, training, or coaching experience
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders
• Strong understanding of Responsible AI principles and governance challenges
• Experience in governance, risk management, controls, compliance, or internal audit preferred
• Experience designing reusable AI components and platforms preferred
• Experience with agentic AI systems and emerging control approaches preferred
• Experience in highly regulated industries (financial services/insurance) preferred
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and regulatory expectations preferred
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Facilitate governance reviews of AI and Generative AI use cases to identify, assess, and communicate AI risks
• Review and interpret AI risk assessments, fairness testing results, model evaluations, and monitoring outcomes
• Support development and enhancement of governance frameworks, standards, and procedures for scalable oversight
• Advise stakeholders on Responsible AI development, governance expectations, and regulatory considerations
• Promote governance approaches balancing risk management, innovation, and business value
• Evaluate governance implications of Generative AI, reusable AI components, foundation models, and agentic AI systems
• Influence governance strategies and control approaches, including monitoring, intervention, containment, and shutoff mechanisms
• Lead development or review of enterprise controls to mitigate AI risks
• Partner with business leaders, data scientists, engineers, Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management across the AI lifecycle
