Respite Worker

Hourly rate $22.57

Duties: The Respite Program Specialist will provide Hourly respite services and CFTSS -PSR services to children with emotional, social, and/or behavioral challenges. The Program Specialist may also take responsibility for different areas of the Respite Programming and activities.

Individual Hourly Respite

• Together with the Program Manager conduct the initial visit to include introductions, explanation of the Hourly Respite Services requirements and expectations and completion of the necessary paperwork prior to the first respite visit.
• Provide Respite services in home and/or out of home on day and times agreed upon.
• Consults with supervisor regarding issues requiring appropriate interventions or involving uncertainly.
• May assist in program development utilizing knowledge of needs gained through services to families.

Contribution – CFTSS, Hourly Respite

• Actively participate in the cooperative efforts of the division.
• Participates in activities which contribute to the overall welfare of the agency.
• Other duties as assigned by the Department Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and two years experience working in children’s mental health, addiction and or foster care or a bachelors degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services or a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services.
• Must have three years driving experience with own license.
• Knowledge of community resources, mental health diagnosis and child development required.
• Self - starting, motivated individual able to work flexible hours.
• Excellent interpersonal- skills, communication skills, and organizational skills required.
