Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network is seeking a compassionate Respite Provider to care for an infant in Stanley, WI. This part-time, home-based role offers 20 hours per week with 1:1 supervision and gentle guidance to support early development.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, pass a caregiver background check, and be authorized to work in the U.S.; experience with individuals with support needs is preferred, and the home is pet-friendly with two dogs.

This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Respite Provider to work with an infant in the Stanley, WI area. The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and committed to helping through consistent routines and gentle guidance.

Schedule:

• To be officially discussed and determined between provider and managing party.
• Authorized 20 hrs. per week; schedule to be mutually agreed upon.

Tasks:

• Respite care is to be conducted in the family’s home.
• Provide 1v1 care and supervision during all activities.
• Encourage participation in age-appropriate activities such as playing peek a boo, pat-a-cake, or popping bubbles.
• Assist with care needs such as diaper changes and bottle feeding, when needed.
• Be comfortable working with the family to try and meet new milestones (ie. introducing solids)

Requirements:

• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Preference to those with previous experience working with individuals with support needs.
• Pet Friendly- 2 dogs in home.

CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker.
