Easter Seals SWFL is seeking a Respite Provider to deliver compassionate care for children with special needs in home or agreed locations. The role focuses on safety, personal care, and enriching activities while maintaining confidentiality and positive family relationships.
Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and preferably 2 years in special education. You must be reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Our Respite Program offers specialized childcare to children with special needs and their siblings, providing parents and guardians with a break from the daily stress of caring for their child’s needs. To ensure success as a respite worker, it is essential to demonstrate experience in a similar role and working in the special education sector. Ultimately, a top-notch respite worker will be someone who can be relied upon to perform their duties with patience and compassion. Respite visits are conducted in the client’s homes or an agreed-upon location. Interested persons with the following backgrounds are perfect candidates for this position: Registered Behavior Technicians, Occupational and Physical Therapist Assistants, Speech Language Pathologist Assistants, ESE Aides, or Teachers preferred.
