Job Details

Job Location: Clinical OBH - Cincinnati, OH 45206

Salary Range: $15.00 - $22.75 Hourly

Role: Respite Provider (Per Required Need, PRN)

Essential Functions

• Provide short-term, temporary relief to the caregiver of a client between the ages of birth and 21 and who has a mental health diagnosis.
• Respite services may include general supervision of the client, meal preparation, and hands‑on assistance with personal care that are incidental to the supervision of the client.
• Plan and implement social, recreational, and educational activities and act as a positive role model.
• Participate as a member of an inter‑disciplinary treatment team to implement strategies to assist and encourage progress toward meeting goals.
• Provide age‑appropriate life skills building.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with parents/guardians to encourage communication and parental support.
• Complete progress notes and client documentation within specified timeframe.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trauma informed, interpersonal skills, patience/tolerance, flexible/adaptable and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and car for travel.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Understanding of how to engage a person with mental illness, psychiatric symptoms and impact on functioning and behavior.
• Concepts of recovery/resiliency.
• CPR/First Aid certified.
