The Arc of Palm Beach County is hiring a Respite Direct Service Professional in Palm Beach County, FL. You will support individuals with developmental disabilities in homes, centers, and the community, helping with daily living activities and creating meaningful, engaging experiences.

We seek compassionate, dependable staff who can work evenings/weekends, communicate well with families, and build lasting relationships. Join us to make a real difference every day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• At least 1 year of direct care experience with neurodiverse individuals.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, support, encouragement, and engagement to individuals with developmental disabilities in homes, centers, and community.
• Assist with daily living activities (feeding, dressing, toileting, personal care).
• Create engaging activities based on individual needs and interests.
• Encourage independence, social interaction, and skill development.
• Assist with recreational outings and community activities.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment and build relationships with participants and families.
• Document and communicate with the Respite team.
