Job summary

Family Resource Network seeks a part-time RESPITE CONNECTIONS PROGRAM COORDINATOR in Mercer County, Trenton, NJ. The role requires coordinating a twice-monthly Saturday respite program for youths with intellectual and developmental disabilities, working under the Director of Support Services at FRN.

The coordinator will supervise staff, manage intake, ensure required documentation, and expand program reach through community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, background in Social Service field preferred.
• Two years of direct work with individuals with disabilities and their families.
• Program development and administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Support Professionals, including interviews, annual evaluations, quarterly staff meetings, etc.
• Enter progress notes and confirm attendance records for each event.
• Lead expansion efforts to increase program attendance through correspondence with families, school districts, and local groups.
• Manage the hiring, training, and oversight of Respite Connection staff.
• Plan and coordinate all Respite Connections activities.
• Conduct intake interviews for new program participants.
• Ensure all required documentation is gathered and submitted to funders as requested.
• Develop program materials including flyers, policies, brochures, fact sheets, flyers, articles, etc.
