Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) in Orleans, Essex & Caledonia Counties seeks compassionate Respite Providers to support children with serious emotional challenges and their families.

You will create a safe, structured environment, respond to challenges with positive approaches, and collaborate with a case manager. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with children with emotional/behavioral challenges preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and automobile liability insurance.
• Ability to work independently following established plans and guidance.

Aufgaben

• Provide one-to-one support to children with emotional challenges under the guidance of a case manager and in partnership with families.
• Create a safe, structured environment that supports emotional growth and social skill development.
• Respond to behavioral and emotional challenges using positive, non-punitive approaches that encourage learning and resilience.
• Maintain consistency and reliability in scheduling whenever possible.
• Provide transportation using a safe, inspected, and appropriately insured personal vehicle.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and other service providers.
• Complete required documentation in accordance with state, federal, and NKHS guidelines.
