Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Manager of the Respiratory Therapy Unit to oversee all shift operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal standards. The role focuses on budgeting, performance improvement, and alignment with network respiratory policies.

You will partner with department leaders to optimize patient experience, drive quality improvements, and implement evidence-based protocols while coordinating staff training and orientation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in relevant field or comparable experience (e.g. 10 years of clinical experience in Respiratory Care).
• Graduate of an AMA accredited Respiratory Care program.
• 3 years adult critical care experience
• 3 years of acute care supervisory experience
• Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, supplies, and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Directs all activities of the respiratory department in accordance with applicable regulations, accreditation standards, certification and licensing requirements (State, Federal, TJC, NJDOH, State of New Jersey, CLIA, CAP, and others).
• Adheres to the facility's Organizational & Managerial Competencies and network-wide respiratory policies and procedures.
• Monitors, evaluates and improves departmental operations, systems, and services; ensures appropriate documentation and communication.
• Coordinates and oversees implementation of network-wide policies and procedures.
• Ensures staff are compliant with safety and regulatory requirements; oversees safety training and orientation.
