Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Respiratory Therapy Technician training program or related healthcare coursework.
• 0-1 years of experience in respiratory care or related field preferred.
• Experience in respiratory therapy, pulmonary function testing, or oxygen therapy support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed respiratory therapists in preparing and administering basic respiratory treatments (oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, incentive spirometry).
• Observe and monitor patients during therapy and report adverse reactions to supervising staff.
• Clean, maintain, and set up respiratory equipment per infection control protocols.
• Record treatments and patient responses in medical records as directed.
• Prepare supplies and ensure stock levels for procedures and equipment functionality.
• Educate patients and families on basic respiratory exercises under supervision.
• Adhere to departmental policies and safety protocols for a safe patient environment.
