Job summary

MultiCare Health System in Puyallup, WA is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor who coordinates and supervises RT staff, provides inpatient and outpatient respiratory care, and guides care with limited supervision. You will lead a team of Respiratory Therapists, perform ventilator management, diagnostic procedures and clinical evaluations, and establish therapy objectives aligned with patient needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 2 years additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy training program.
• Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• 2 years of experience in professional or technical role/function.
• Licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner with the State of Washington.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Current CPR certification required and advanced life support credential required within 90 - 365 days of hire depending on specific position and course availability (NRP, PALS or ACLS)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise work performed by assigned professional staff engaged in respiratory care activities.
• Provide respiratory therapy to inpatients and/or outpatients of MultiCare.
• Lead and guide Respiratory Therapists under limited supervision.
• Perform independent, professional respiratory care including ventilator management and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Establish therapy and treatment objectives based on patient needs across age groups.
• Review care to ensure quality and safety.

Education

Associate’s degree or 2 years additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care

2 years of experience in professional or technical role/function

Licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner with the State of Washington
