Job Summary

Perform therapy as prescribed and in accordance with departmental policy and procedure, with flexible scheduling to accommodate school-oriented shifts across various shifts.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of all routine therapy equipment, including oximeters, regulators, flowmeters, analyzers, ETCO2 monitors, medical gases, inhaled pharmacological agents, etc.
• Maintain a working knowledge of Hospital/Respiratory care policy and procedure manuals.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit, demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary for age-specific needs.
• Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret appropriate information to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs, providing care as described in unit/area/department policies and procedures.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; currently enrolled in a recognized respiratory therapy program at either the junior or senior level.
• Less than 2 years of experience.
• No supervisor experience required.
• Respiratory Care Educational Permit issued by the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care.
• Work shift: Day/Evening Rotation.
