Job summary

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Skills Lab Assistant on a part-time basis to support the Respiratory Therapy Program's laboratory activities and student learning.

The role maintains laboratory readiness, prepares equipment and instructional materials, supports student learning, and assists with equipment maintenance and inventory management to ensure a safe, compliant learning environment and program accreditation readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in healthcare, laboratory, simulation, technical support, educational, or respiratory care-related environment.
• Demonstrated ability to organize equipment, manage inventory, and follow detailed procedures.
• Ability to lift, transport, and move respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.

The Respiratory Therapy Skills Laboratory Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Therapy Program's skills laboratory by maintaining laboratory readiness, preparing equipment and instructional materials, supporting student learning activities, and assisting with equipment maintenance and inventory management. This position helps ensure a safe, organized, and effective laboratory environment that promotes student success and supports program accreditation requirements.
