This position involves patient care in pediatric critical care areas, step-down units, and general care areas.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: HS/GED required. Must be licensed by the ASBRT and registered by the NBRC or credentialed as a Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) by the NBRC. PALS and NRP certifications are preferred and mandatory within one year. BLS certification is preferred at hire and required within 90 days of hire or transfer. ACLS certification is also preferred.
Experience: Clinical experience during respiratory training, capable of functioning in critical settings including initiation and support of mechanical ventilation. Experience with intubation and pediatric transport is preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly. Proficient in procedures related to bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, respiratory diagnostics, and mechanical ventilation.
