Job summary

The Avenue at Broadview Heights, a Progressive Quality Care facility, seeks a Respiratory Therapy Program Manager to lead respiratory care for residents. You will work under a pulmonologist to assess, treat, and manage respiratory conditions, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other professionals.

The role requires an RRT credential, an associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy, and at least two years in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct respiratory assessments, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients’ responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Provide emergency respiratory support during critical situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.

As a Respiratory Therapy Program Manager for Progressive Quality Care, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Working under the direction of a pulmonologist, the primary responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapy Program Manager will be as follows:
