Job summary

The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice at St. Luke's Health System will assist in treating adult patients with cardiopulmonary issues on general inpatient units. The role excludes critical care and the apprentice's documentation will be reviewed and countersigned by the RT manager.

Night shift is 6pm-6am with variable days around school; weekend coverage is required on a rotating basis. Night shift differential is eligible. St.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a university program for respiratory therapy; Minimum of 3 semesters of preceptor clinical education
• 0 years' experience
• Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification

Responsibilities

• The Respiratory Therapy Apprentice will assist in the therapy of individuals with healthcare issues affecting the cardiopulmonary system on adult general inpatient care areas excluding critical care.
• The RT manager/supervisor will be responsible for the activities of the RT Apprentice.

Education

Current enrollment in a university program for respiratory therapy

Minimum of 3 semesters of preceptor clinical education

Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification
