Job summary

South College is seeking candidates for a full-time and adjunct Faculty position in the developing Respiratory Therapy Program. The Respiratory Therapy Faculty will teach courses, review curricula with program leadership, and assist in labs and clinical experiences to enhance student competencies.

Ideal candidates hold an RRT credential and a valid state license, with four years of clinical experience and at least two years of teaching in a CoARC-accredited program, helping maintain NBRC

Qualifications

• Earned at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).
• Hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license.
• Have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care.
• Have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience teaching in a CoARC-accredited program or as clinical instructor/preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Teach respiratory therapy courses.
• Review curriculum with PD and DCE; develop student assessment and critical thinking.
• Assist in lab and clinical experiences; maintain student records.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure current NBRC TMC and CSE Matrix alignment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
