Qualifications

• Enrolled in AMA/J.R.C.R.T.E. accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• BLS certification is required.
• Temporary Training Permit by New Mexico Respiratory License Board to be obtained upon acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine respiratory therapy per physician orders and policy.
• Communicate with physicians and care providers about indications and alternatives.
• Assist in invasive and noninvasive life support under supervision of licensed staff.
• Monitor and interpret physiological monitoring and ABG results.
• Follow department documentation and infection control protocols.
• Stock and maintain respiratory care supplies as needed.
• Participate in department protocol implementation and patient care.
