Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center in South Florida seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to support the CC017360 Respiratory Therapy Department. You will perform routine procedures, assess patients, and manage therapies according to patient acuity, documenting and reporting results.

The role requires Florida CRT license, BLS, and 3–5 years of critical care experience; ACLS preferred. The hospital offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth in a large private nonprofit

Qualifications

• Florida license for Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRt) required.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in critical care settings is expected (3–5 years).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine procedures of the Respiratory Therapy department as assigned.
• Prioritizes patient therapy according to patient acuity on a daily basis.
• Administers, observes, documents and reports effects of gases, ventilation and other respiratory treatments.
• Completes charting and departmental records accurately and legibly.
• Maintains productivity and demonstrates competency in arterial blood gases annually.
• Communicates shift reports and participates in on-call responsibilities as required.
• Collaborates with pharmacy and physicians to ensure appropriate treatment changes.
