Tidewater Community College invites applications for a part-time Respiratory Therapy Adjunct in Virginia Beach. The adjunct will teach courses aligned to established learning outcomes, in-class, remote via Zoom, or online, with feedback to students and office hours to support success.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in respiratory therapy or related field, 2+ years of occupational experience, RRT credentials and Virginia licensure, and strong electronic communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in respiratory therapy or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Two or more years of occupational experience in the field.
• RRT credentials and licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner through the Virginia Board of Medicine.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates student acquisition of knowledge and skills.
• Align course activities with student learning outcomes and use active learning strategies.
• Deliver instruction and assess student learning, including timely feedback.
• Offer office hours and accommodate varying course schedules including day/evening/weekend sessions.
