Job summary

Louisville Gardens in Louisville, Ohio, is seeking Respiratory Therapists to join our respiratory care team. The RT will operate ventilators, provide gas therapies, monitor patient responses, assist breathing exercises, and ensure equipment safety.

Requirements include completion of an approved respiratory therapy program, 1–3 months of related experience, and an active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License. IND123 may appear as reference.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate devices such as mechanical ventilators and gas administration equipment.
• Monitor patient responses and vital signs during therapy.
• Assist patients with breathing exercises as prescribed.
• Maintain and inspect respiratory therapy equipment for safe operation.
• Prepare patient charts with therapy information and outcomes.
• Consult with physicians on adverse reactions and equipment needs.

Louisville Gardens in Louisville, Ohio is currently seeking Respiratory Therapists to join our amazing respiratory team.

Respiratory Therapists (RT) - Increased Wages

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned.

• Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
• Operates equipment to ensure specified parameters of treatment such as volume, gas concentration, humidity, and temperature, and to administer medicinal gases and aerosol drugs to patients under the orders of Physician.
• Monitors patient's physiological responses to therapy through patient vital signs.
• Assists patient in performing breathing exercises.
• Observes equipment function and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum results to therapy. Consults with Physician in event of adverse reactions.
• Maintains patient's chart that contains pertinent identification and therapy information.
• Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
• Orders repairs when needed.
• Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel.
