Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will perform routine and advanced procedures, monitor therapy, and document clinical information in the chart.

Requires an Associate's Degree, active state license, NBRC credential, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• NRP Certification required for NICU-trained therapists.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information for patients.
• Educates patients and staff on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides age-appropriate care as applicable.
• Maintains professional certifications and up-to-date knowledge.
