Job summary

Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Inpatient Respiratory team on the third shift. You will evaluate, plan and document respiratory therapy interventions, collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, and educate patients and families as needed.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited respiratory care program, NBRC credentials, CT licensure as a Certified Respiratory Therapist, and BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory care as recognized by the NBRC.
• Current NBRC credentials.
• Licensed by the State of Connecticut as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• CPR Certification – BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Preferred: Active Member of the AARC.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document a goal oriented program of respiratory therapy interventions.
• Participate in an interdisciplinary team approach and educate staff, patients and families as necessary.
• Work under guidance of RRT as appropriate.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory care

NBRC credentials

CT licensure as Certified Respiratory Therapist

BLS CPR certification

Active Member of AARC (preferred)
